Over 10y on IT being 5 of it as a QA, experienced in telecommunications, embedded software, SaaS, Desktop and mobile applications.
My story
Got to IT aged 18 years old as helpdesk trainee and hired as SysAdmin 6 months later and after a few years on DevOps and helpdesk roles, have accepted the challenge to work as a QA engineer helping to build high end fiber optics hardware where have developed expertise on EPON/GPON/XGSPON, b/n/ac/ax, FXS, PoE, IPv6, routing and firewall.
Exceptional projects
- My beautiful babies: I’m proud of playing a key role on the successful release of dozen of products, from OLT, ONU, ONT, OS and SaaS products, working close with product and customer oriented teams to achieve high ticket sellable products.
- High pressure project: Had the opportunity to work close with Chinese hardware suppliers on-site to build dozens of products within 2 months of a work journey having imported knowledge and technology to my company, where i’ve learnt the power of sharing knowledge, being trusted to travel the world to build, learn and spread information across multidisciplinary teams.
- It was never by chance: Was the ‘lucky guy’ behind a few High priority and High severity bugs found on key products, some of them living for years on the software code without being discovered.
What’s next?
There’s always room for growth, still seeking to master QA by day and improving software developer by night.
